Catherine J. (Shea) Dalton

Catherine J. (Shea) Dalton, 76, of Canton, passed away peacefully after a long illness Aug. 31, 2021 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Catherine was the daughter of the late Catherine (Sullivan) Shea and Edward Shea. Born and raised in Dorchester graduated from Saint Patrick’s High. She resided in Brockton for 38 years and enjoyed time raising her daughters Lori and Kim.  

Cathy loved and cherished time with her sisters Maureen and Jackie. She adored her grandchildren and was their biggest fan at their sporting events. She also loved the Red Sox. Cathy devoted her life helping friends of Bill W.

Cathy was the beloved mother of Lorraine (Lori Dalton) Pigeon and her husband Mark of Canton and Kim Dalton-Rubeski and her husband Scott of Marshfield; loving grandmother of Michael and Mathew Pigeon, Shealy Dalton, and Josef and Jacob Rubeski; sister of Maureen DeWitt, Michael Shea and Rusty Shea and his wife Karen, all of Wareham, Gary Shea and his wife Sue of East Bridgewater, Edward Shea and his wife Michelle of Halifax, and Jackie Shea and her wife Donna Marrier of Brockton; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Sunday, Sept. 5th 1-4 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Harbor Health Services (Attn.: Elder Service Plan), 1135 Morton St. Mattapan MA 02126.
