Catherine A. (Driscoll) Bowden

Catherine A. (Driscoll) Bowden, 83, of Lincoln, CA, formerly of Brockton, passed away on May 30, 2022. Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late James and Julia (Asero) Driscoll. Catherine was a talented hairdresser, owning and operating Kay’s Corner in Stoughton for many years. She also co-owned Peter McNeil’s and was a stylist at Boston Hair Co., both in Brockton.

Catherine was devoted to her family and doted on her pets. She loved dancing, singing, and volunteering. Funny and fierce, she enjoyed a good practical joke. Her kind and loving nature will be missed.

Catherine was the wife of the late Thomas Bowden; beloved mother of Donald Matchem and his wife Kimmarie of Brockton, Deborah Van Sluytman and her husband Andrew of East Taunton, Doug Matchem of California, Duanne Matchem of East Taunton, and Deneen Wyler and her husband Cory of California; loving grandmother of Jennifer, Christopher, Corey, Janea, James, Shanna, Meaghan, Donald, Christine, and Shelby; great-grandmother of 19; sister of Josephine Moltman of New Hampshire, Robert Driscoll of California, and the late James “Sonny” Driscoll; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Wed., June 8th from 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral service Thurs., June 9th at 10:30 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Calvary Cemetery, 95 N. Cary St., Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may made to Alzheimer's Association.
