Carl S. Danforth, 59, of Brockton, passed away on Monday January 17, 2022. He graduated from Southeastern Regional High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. After working as a chef at area restaurants for over 20 years, Carl owned and operated J.C.’s Things in Whitman for 15 years. As a member of the Elks, he served as both Exalted Ruler and Trustee. Carl enjoyed playing darts, poker, cruising and traveling, attending auctions and spending “date nights” with his wife.
Carl was the beloved husband of Stacey Brueggeman Danforth for the past 7 years; dear son of Anni and the late Charles Danforth; loving Dad of DyAnna Brueggeman; brother of Charles “Chuck” Danforth, Jr. and the late Christopher Danforth; uncle of 21 nieces and nephews; best friend of Jody Murphy and James Puopolo.
All are welcome to calling hours on Sunday, January 23rd from 1-4 pm followed by a 4 p.m. “Celebration of Life” at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main Street, Brockton. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Carl’s favorite charity.
