Bruce B. Hurd

Bruce B. Hurd, 65, passed away on September 13, 2021 at home in Raynham after failing health. Raised in Easton, son of the late Dorothy (Orchard) Hurd and the late Russell “Brad” Hurd, he graduated from Oliver Ames High School. He later continued in HVAC at Southeastern Regional High School and owned and operated Heat Miser in Raynham for many years, retiring a few years ago. Bruce enjoyed playing pool, sports, NASCAR, snowmobiling and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. In recent years he lived between Florida, Cape Cod and Raynham in his motor home.

Bruce was the husband of the late Pamela Whynot-Hurd, beloved father of Sean Hurd and his wife Erin of Stoughton and Bret Hurd and his wife Lindsay of Raynham, loving grandfather of Riley, Connor and an October arrival, and granddogs Argo and Kane, brother of Brenda and her husband Mark Peterson, Lisa and her husband Ed Rollo and the late Linda Hurd, and an uncle of many nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his late father’s wife Priscilla of Florida.

Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Saturday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a 2 p.m. Service of Remembrance at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Flowers are welcome; for an alternate tribute, memorial gifts may be made to Beacon Hospice.
