Bettyann Klimas, 87, of Avon for the past 60 years, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025 at home on hospice with family by her side. She was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Jane Rastikis and graduated from Brockton High School. After working for American Mutual Insurance, she was a travel agent for Avon Travel for many years. Bettyann was an active volunteer for the Town of Avon with the Finance Committee, the Cultural Council and the Centennial Committee. She was especially fond of her dogs. She had a passion and a talent for baking and a side business of designing, creating and decorating wedding cakes. She enjoyed sharing her expertise with her grandchildren by teaching them to bake anything from small pastries to elaborate cakes.
Bettyann was the beloved wife of Walter Klimas for 60 years, loving mother of Ed Klimas and his wife Shelly of Mount Pleasant, SC and Scott Klimas and his wife Maria of Mansfield, and the dear Mimi of Paige, Reid, Anthony and Elizabeth Klimas.
All are welcome to calling hours Sunday October 5th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, her funeral Monday October 6th from Waitt Funeral Home at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church in Avon and burial at St. Michael Cemetery.
