Bernadette Samedy

Bernadette Samedy, 85, of Brockton, passed away on March 12, 2025. Born in Jérémie, Haiti on June 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Louisort Samedy and Thesmela Brisnau.

Bernadette was the beloved mother of Marie Nelande Lafleur Rosier, Jean Gérard Chaurand, Merline Samedy, and the late Jean Menard Lafleur; loving grandmother of Marie Arshley Kerbie Rosier, Marie Daphclallina Rosier, Branly Anderson St. Hilaire, Fadyanie Marie-Sherline St. Hilaire, Bethsaida Nahenca Rosier, Bradley Chaurand, and Douenjee Kerencia Gelin; great-grandmother of Odi Lowens Sarazin, Cayderson Kyler St. Hilaire, and Aisha Dubos; mother-in-law of Huygens Rosier, Schiller St. Hilaire, Viergina Pierre, and Pastride Christophe; sister of Aline Ladouceur, Elina Ladouceur, Milo Ladouceur, Frankel Ladouceur, Edèl Ladouceur, and Veelle Ladouceur; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to her wake service Friday, March 28th from 5-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Saturday, March 29th at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Livestreaming of Bernadette's wake and funeral will be available.
