Barbara A. Latham Obituary

Barbara A. (Scully) Latham, 68, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away March 15, 2026 from cancer complications. Born in Milton to the late George and Ida (Kozak) Scully, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1975 and from Stonehill College in 1979. Barbara’s entire work career was with the State Auditor’s Office. She was formerly an active parishioner, CCD teacher and Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and in recent years attended Mass and was a Eucharistic minister at the chapel at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She also enjoyed family and friend gatherings, casino trips, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and trips to Cape Cod.

Barbara was the beloved wife of James Latham for 44 years, loving mother of the late Michael Latham, dear sister of Kathleen O’Brien and her husband Charles of Walpole and the late Robert Scully, and she is survived by extended family and many friends.

All are welcome to calling hours Thursday March 19th from 3 to 7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Friday March 20th at 9:30 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass at 10:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
