Barbara J. (Simmons) Weatherbee

Barbara J. (Simmons) Weatherbee, 76, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.  She was born on March 1, 1945. She was the loving daughter of the late Warren and Evelyn Simmons. Barbara was an office manager at Simmons and Kinsman Realty Trust in Halifax for many years.  She loved traveling, going on cruises, park hopping in Disney World and wintering in Florida.  She had a love for casinos going with family and friends whenever she could.  She was a longtime member of Christ Congregational Church, UCC and was a member of their Music Board.  Barbara was the beloved wife of Bradford R. Weatherbee for 57 years; loving mother of Scott Weatherbee and his wife Diane of West Bridgewater and Shawn Weatherbee and his wife Rachel of Brockton; devoted grandmother of Matthew, Megan, Kevin, Austin and Chase; sister of Leslie Simmons and his wife Cindy of Florida, Pamela Allen of Wareham, Steven Simmons and his wife Elaine of Brockton and Cynthia Panetta and her husband John of Maynard; sister in law of Martha Jane Binda of Randolph; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.  All are welcome to calling hours, Sunday, August 1st from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main Street, Brockton, her funeral service will be on Monday, August 2nd at 10:30am at Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
