Aura Rosa Alarcon Castaño

Aura Rosa Alarcon Castaño, 90, of Brockton, passed away on April 11, 2023. Born in Sonson, Colombia on February 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Emiliano Alarcon and Maria Jesus Castano. She married Francisco Honorio Escobar and they had nine children.

Aura was a devoted wife and the beloved mother of Angela Escobar, Hector  Escobar, Marleny Escobar, Honorio Escobar, Mauricio Escobar, Victor Escobar, Adriana Escobar, Claudia Escobar and the late Elkin Escobar, loving grandmother of Viviana Acosta, Shirley Sanchez, Alexander Escobar, Johan Sebastian Duran, Juan Pablo Duran, Anderson Escobar, Jonathan Escobar, Cassandra Perez, Stephanie Ruiz, Cynthia Palacio, Nicole Palacio, Michelle Escobar, Giovanni Escobar, Cesar Escobar, Maria Victoria Escobar, John Fredy Escobar, the late Juan Arley Escobar, and the late Javier Alexander Acosta Escobar, and a great-grandmother of many.

All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday April 18th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral Wednesday April 19th at 9 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
