Arsene Philippe Champagne, 91, of Stoughton, passed away on November 21, 2019. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he was the son of the late Phillipe and Francoise (Jean Baptiste) Champagne. Arsene was a happy person, very helpful to all. The center of his life was love. He always wanted his family to be united. Arsene loved his children, family and friends very much. His passion was music and dance, which brought him much happiness. With him there was always the atmosphere of "JOY". Finally, his name became "JOY”. Arsene was the husband of the late Elvira Charles; beloved father of Rose Yvanne Champagne Saint Pierre, Lionel Champagne, Patrick Champagne, Jose Gratien Champagne, Ronald Petit Frere, Soledad Parent, Marjorie Champagne, Jeffrey Philippe Laurent, Emeline Walker, and the late Jacques Champagne; grandfather of Greguy, David, Saida, Kessy, Gabriel, Grace, Sahiana, Hainara, and Sophie; great-grandfather of Zachary and William; loving brother of Christine Champagne, Fred Champagne, Rony Champagne, Silver Champagne, Michel Champagne, Paul Champagne, and the late Jean, Guy, and Marie Champagne; he also leaves a host of dear loving nieces ,nephews, cousins, and friends, including the Jean Baptiste and Meteye families. All are welcome to his funeral from Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton on Saturday, Dec. 7th at 7:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton and entombment at St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. Reception to follow at Soley Leve Adult Day Health, 61 Pleasant St., Randolph.
