Arcadius Alcide, 92, of Brockton, passed away on February 8, 2024 at Boston Medical Center. Born in La Pointe, Port-de-Paix, Haiti, he was the son of the late Ducarmel and Tenaise (Solomon) Alcide. He was a successful farmer in Haiti for many years.
Arcadius was the husband of the late Philomena (Pierre-Louis) Alcide. Brother of the late Carmil, Navares, and Gloria Alcide, his living brother and sister Vincent and Neoma Alcide and family. Father of the late Yanick Alcide and daughter Yasmine Alcide, Gladys Alcide, son and daughter Hubbert and Gilbert Dautin and family. Survived by children Jeanese of Brockton and daughters Caroline and Jessy Guilbaud, other people who were dear to us from the beginning to the end, great-grandson Crandon M. Guerrier, Valker Alcide, Lynda Alcide and her husband Sedzer, their children Dimitri, Lindsey and Samy Dubuisson, and grandchildren Maude, Tanis, and Lunise St. Remy.
Family and friends are welcome to his memorial service Saturday, February 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Private committal. Live streaming of Arcadius’ service will be available.
