Ann L. (Hilliard) Watson

Ann L. “Chicky” (Hilliard) Watson, 87, recently of Randolph, formerly of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late James Hilliard and Cora (Cornwall) Lopez. Ann graduated from Brockton High School in 1952. She was a long standing member of Lincoln Congregational Church of Brockton and recently of Greater Vision Tabernacle Church of Randolph.  As a faithful member of Lincoln Congregational Church she served as Deaconess, church moderator, Sunday school teacher, co-director of youth fellowship and member of the choir. She served as secretary of the Brockton Council of Churches and the Brockton Branch of the N.A.A.C.P.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons George H. Johnson, Jr. and wife Charlotte, Jeffrey A. Johnson both of Brockton, daughter Lisa Ann Milord of Randolph; Grandchildren: Damon Robinson, Kimberly Goings, Elizabeth Karch and husband Matthew, Noelani and Justin Milord;  Great grand-children Jacob, Jackson, Hayden, Norah and Emilia; Brothers, James C. “Sonny” Hilliard, Robert D. “Bobby” Hilliard, Walter E. “Wally” Hilliard and his wife Brenda, Jack L. Hilliard, and his wife Jean, all of Brockton; Sisters Cora E. “Sue” Boone of Brockton, Doreen M. Gurley, and Shirill R. Gurley and her husband George, of Bridgewater; son in law Constant Milord; daughters in love Melanie Johnson Duros, Tracy Santos Igba and Simartra Teixeira; grand-daughter in love Camille Duros and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended families. She was the former wife of the late Leon A. Watson. All are welcome to visitation on Monday, July 19th from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton.
