Ann E. (Svagzdys) Appleton, 97, of Kingston passed away peacefully on August 4,2020. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter the late Joseph and Tekla (Rynshall) Svagzdys. Ann worked as a homemaker for many years and was known for her fastidious appearance with particular emphasis on her hair and nails! She worked at St. Joseph’s Manor for 10 years prior to her retirement, where she could fully exhibit her loving and caring ways. For many years, Ann had tended the garden at Wingate at Silver Lake, where she resided. She was the wife of the late Harold L. “Roy” Appleton; loving mother of Gail Appleton of Brockton and the late Mark Appleton and Janice Wheeler. She is survived by her granddaughters Michal and Melissa, several great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She is survived by her brother John of Hingham, her sister Bernadette of Greenville, Rhode Island, Elena Shemeta of Oak Park, California, Elizabeth Boland of Hanover, and the late Veronica Shimkus. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Burial will be private.
