Alice G. (Diggs) Mason

Alice G. (Diggs) Mason, 82, of Brockton, passed away on December 9, 2025. Born in Stamford, CT on May 9, 1943 with a caring spirit that guided every chapter of her life, Alice graduated from the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. She devoted her career to the Brockton VA Hospital, where she served veterans with compassion and professionalism for more than 30 years before retiring.

Alice was deeply devoted to her faith. For more than three decades, she was a loyal and active member of The Brockton Assembly of God, passionately committed to serving God and her church community until illness clouded over her ability to participate.

She was the beloved mother of David A. Mason and his wife Lisa Mason of Maui, Hawaii, and Scott C. Mason and his wife Alexandra Mason of Brockton; loving grandmother of Malcolm, Antonio, Ella, and Siena; sister of the late Carol Reid; and a cherished aunt to many.

All are welcome to visitation on Wednesday, December 17th from 10–11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private cremation to follow.
