Alfred W. Urbaschak Jr., 66, of Brockton, passed away suddenly at home on December 21, 2023. He was born in Boston, the only child to his truck driver father Alfred and bookkeeper mother Anne. Alfred Jr. was a devoted son and after his mother’s passing, shared a close, loving friendship with his father.
Skilled with his hands, he worked for many years as a painter and carpenter and frequently wrote letters to his children in the most beautiful cursive handwriting. He was an avid sports fan and he and his son Michael shared a deep passion for all Boston sports teams. He cared for others and had a kind, helpful way about him. Above all, Alfred loved his children and grandchildren and would express his love in various ways, big or small.
Alfred was the cherished son of Alfred W. Urbaschak of Brockton and the late Anne L. (Festa) Urbaschak; beloved father of Hollie A. Urbaschak of Oregon and Michael S. Urbaschak and his wife Eveline Rocha-Urbaschak of Randolph; and a dear grandfather of Lily, Devon, Alexis, and Aaliyah. He also leaves the mother of his children, Donna M. Cole of Oregon.
Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours on Saturday, December 30th from 2-4 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Those wishing, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
