Aldas R. Carr passed away peacefully at his home in Brockton on Sunday July 7, 2024 after a brief illness.
He was the loving husband of Marjorie for over thirty years until her passing in 2009.
He is predeceased by his parents Eldine and Otis Carr, brothers Joe, George, Jimmy, Teddy, Robert, Johnny and sisters, Ethel, Eleanor, Iris and Diane.
He leaves behind daughters Cisco, Stacey and Ronda, granddaughters Jillian, Corin, Seville, Rosa, grandson Byron and great-grandchildren Sean, Anthony, Aiden, Olivia and Jaela.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, obtaining the rank of Sergeant before discharge. After leaving the military, he worked several jobs including truck driving before working at Raytheon where he worked alongside his beloved wife Marge for over 30 years in Sudbury and Wayland until their retirement.
Before and during retirement they spent summers camping across the country in their motor home with their grandchildren.
He loved the Turner classic movies channel, building wood shadow boxes, and fixing anything he could.
Per Mr. Carr's wishes, there will be no services and interment will be private at a later date.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Those of us who knew him best will remember him telling us to: "Watch the left. "
Did we ever? Dad, we will all watch the left now.
