Ada F. (Smith) Britton, 80, of Brockton, passed away peacefully November 28, 2024. Born in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Ada (Wilbur) Smith. Ada was devoted to her family and home, volunteered at her daughter Elizabeth’s day program at G.R.O.W. in Stoughton and Randolph, and attended her own day program at HarborHealth in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of Howard L. Britton Jr. for over 62 years; loving mother of Elizabeth of Stoughton and Lisa Rovner (and Eric) of Florida; grandmother of Andrew and Alycia Rovner; a great-grandmother; sister of Craig Smith of West Bridgewater and the late Claude Smith and Michelle Smith, and an aunt of many; sister-in-law of Patricia Noone, Brenda Carroll and Brian Britton and their families.
All are welcome to calling hour Tuesday December 3 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and her funeral service at 11 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to GROW Associates.
