William P. Kelley, 79, of Brockton, passed away peacefully Dec. 26, 2018 at home after a wonderful Christmas Day with his entire family. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired member of the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589 for the MBTA. He was an avid golfer and member of Brockton Country Club known as “W.P.” there, a past winner of the Brockton Senior Open and team captain for BCC’s 2nd consecutive Suburban League championship; and he enjoyed all sports. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Kelley; loving father of Robert Fralick, Michael Fralick, Mark Fralick (and Kathryn), all of Brockton, and Scott Kelley (and Sara) of Pembroke; devoted grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 2; and brother of the late Barry Kelley. All are welcome to calling hours Wed., Jan. 2, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon and a celebration of his life at Brockton Country Club. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Jimmy Fund.
