Wilfrid Lys, 95, of Stoughton, passed away on October 4, 2018. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, he was the son of the late Wilfrid Fils-Lys and Ida Estriplet. Wilfrid immigrated to the U.S. in 1983, settling in Massachusetts. He was a member of the Haitian Military and had worked as a cab driver in Haiti for many years. Wilfrid loved traveling back to Haiti, and had just recently returned from a visit there. He was an exceptional man and will be forever missed. Wilfrid was the husband of the late Mesine Satyre; beloved father of Moliere Lochard and his wife Ingrid of Stoughton, Wilmide Henry-Lys of Canada, Ilena Nolasco of Dominican Republic, and Guy Leonard of Florida; loving grandfather of Deverson, Monique, Ashley and Brandon Lochard, Evans and Shana Henry-Lys, and Christien Nolasco; dear brother of Marie Lise Satyre and her husband Dennis of Haiti; and an uncle of nephews Gerard, Gregory and Dennis Junior Satyre, and niece Michael Satyre. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, October 12th from 6-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral Mass Saturday, October 13th at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 211 North Main St., Randolph. Burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 245 North Street, Randolph.
