Viola E. (Svedine) Szydlowski

Viola E. (Svedine) Szydlowski, 86, of Avon, passed away October 21, 2018. A graduate of Avon High School, she retired from Hit or Miss Warehouse after 20 years there. Crafty, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and ceramics, and was a talented cake decorator and candy maker. She also loved traveling. Viola was the beloved wife of Januariusz “Jerry” Szydlowski for 64 years; loving mother of Diane Merrill and her husband Steven of Avon, and the late Carol Szydlowski and Jana Beth Szydlowski; dear sister of Lawrence Svedine of Brockton, Norma Hooke of Brockton, Donna MacDonald of Barrington, NH, and the late David Svedine, Carl Svedine, Barbara Tibnam, and Roberta Daversa; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Fri., Oct. 26th from 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral service Sat., Oct. 27th at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
