Ruth C. (Bovaird) Biedermann, 88, of Brockton, passed away November 12, 2017. A member of St. Paul’s Parish in Brockton for over 30 years, she was a member of the Altar Guild and Mother’s Club. She was a housekeeper for many years and a talented seamstress, making her own clothing. Ruth enjoyed bingo and special occasions with her family, from birthday dinners to holiday gatherings, she loved the time spent with them. Family was most important to Ruth and she loved children. She helped raise all of her grandchildren and delighted in it. Ruth was the wife of the late Walter Biedermann; beloved mother of Sandra Mace and her husband David of Stoughton, Luann Reid and her husband David of Brockton, and the late Walter E. Biedermann and his wife Cheryl Biedermann of Newton; loving grandmother of David Reid Jr., Donald Reid, Derek Mace, Brandan Mace, Alexander Biedermann and Nathaniel Biedermann; great-grandmother of Abel Reid; sister of Shirley McDade, Jean Zopatti, and the late Alfred Bovaird, Frederick Bovaird, Evelyn Reid and Audrey Altobello; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 5-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to American Heart Association or Old Colony Hospice.
