Robert P. Tautkus, 64, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Apr. 27, 2018 at home with his cherished family. A son of the late Anna and Edward Tautkus, he recently retired from the City of Brockton as a construction foreman after 20 years of service. Rob enjoyed entertaining, watching the Red Sox and Patriots, blues music, vegetable gardening, all things ocean and the beach including shellfishing and lobstering; most of all he liked to make people happy. His fun-loving nature and easygoing demeanor will always be in the memories of everyone whose lives he touched. Robert was the devoted husband of Lindy L. (Carmichael) Tautkus for 32 years; loving Dad of Robert P. Tautkus II of New Bedford and Max and Autumn Rose Tautkus, both of Brockton; dear grandfather of Mykolas, Emilya and Spencer; brother of Joyce Parenteau and her husband Normand of Brockton, Rick Tautkus and his wife Mary Louise of Whitman, John Peter Tautkus of N.H., and Christina Hall of Brockton; son-in-law of Else and Dale Carmichael of Whitman; brother-in-law of Lisa Carmichael of Whitman and Steven and Nancy DeLuca of West Bridgewater; lifelong friend of David Pizzano; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to memorial service Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in United Church of Christ, 10 Bedford St., Abington, MA 02351 and to gather at 7 p.m. for a Celebration of Rob’s Life at the American Legion, 1027 Washington St., Abington.
