Robert F. Costello, 83, of Brockton, died July 6, 2018. The son of the late Mary E. (Costello) Lenoci, he served in the U.S. Army. For over 30 years he was a firefighter for the City of Brockton and a carpenter for Cape Cod/Cricket Lane as well. Bob was a member of the Polish White Eagles, Conte Memorial Club, and Holbrook Rod and Gun Club, and bowled at Westgate Lanes in the Firefighters League. He was an avid carpenter who loved to build and create with his hands. Bob’s workshop was his happy place; his love of being a firefighter was equally as great. He vacationed in Marshfield for over 20 years and loved spending summers with family at the beach house; he was happiest when his three grandchildren were hanging out with him. Bob was the husband of the late Joanne M. (Sullivan) Costello; beloved father of Leanne Savignano and her husband Nick of Brockton and Suzanne Mancini and her husband Christopher of North Easton; loving grandfather of Holly Savignano, Andrew Mancini and Matthew Mancini; and the close cousin of Joanne O’Brien of Brockton. Special thanks to Lori, Jeanne, Bev and Paula for their TLC to Bob over the past 4 years, and to the staff at Life Care Center in West Bridgewater and Dr. Edward Freccero. All are welcome to calling hours Monday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
