Rita C. (Keane) Giovanoni

Rita (Keane) Giovanoni, 88, of West Bridgewater, passed away Feb. 20, 2018. Native of Brockton, she was a daughter of the late John and Bridie (Cody) Keane. Devoted to her family and home, she also had worked at West Bridgewater Public Library and was a voracious reader of romance novels. Rita was the beloved wife of Joseph Giovanoni for 62 years; loving mother of Joseph Giovanoni Jr. (and Amy) of Buzzards Bay, John Giovanoni (and Amelia) of Royalston, and Leo Giovanoni of West Bridgewater; grandmother of Michael, Michelle and Maria; sister of the late Veronica McGill, Kitty Holmgren, Mary Jerome, Joan, Jane, Ann, John and James Keane; sister-in-law of Margaret Utka and the late Joseph; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to a calling hour Friday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church and burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, both in West Bridgewater.
