Richard M. “Matt” Tangherlini, 27, of Brockton, died tragically on October 5, 2015. He was a 2006 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational-Technical High School. An auto enthusiast, he was a member of South Shore Customs and enjoyed racing cars. A positive light, Matt was filled with love for everyone, taking time to talk with family, friends and strangers alike. Every day was a learning experience for him, he relished in enlightening people and sharing his spirituality and vast knowledge of the world around him. He had a unique perspective on living and believed that this life is part of a greater journey. “We are the universe.” Matt was the cherished son of Richard and Shannon Tangherlini, and Tammy Ruggiero; loving brother of Steven, Christopher, Ashley, Alex, Andrew and Jacqueline; dear grandson of Patricia Sullivan and Sami Whitman. Matt also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. All are welcome to calling hours Friday 4-7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
