Richard J. Twomey, 67, of Brockton since 1995, passed away on February 4, 2019. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Christopher and Katherine (Barrett) Twomey. A 1970 graduate of Brookline High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Richard was a water service inspector for the Brookline DPW Water and Sewer Division for 40 years until his retirement. He was a true handyman, having the ability to fix anything and would jokingly refer to himself as a “jack of all trades, master of none”. He will be deeply missed by his loving family. Richard was the beloved husband of Suzanne M. (DiCenzo) Twomey; loving father of Angela Shea and her husband Scott of Norton, Jennifer Gagne and her husband Gabe of Wakefield, and Nicholas Twomey of Brockton; dear Papa of Brandon Twomey, Andrew Twomey, Makenna Shea, Madison Shea, and the late Jack T. Gagne; brother of Stephen Twomey and wife Diana, Catherine Wilcox and husband Donald, Robert Twomey and late wife Penny, William Twomey and wife Janis, Joseph Twomey and wife Joan, Kevin Twomey and wife Susan, Patricia Siegel, James Twomey, Maureen Twomey, and the late Edmund and Christopher Twomey; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at an upcoming date.
