Peter A. Grecko

Peter A. Grecko, 86, of Brockton for over 40 years, passed away Jan. 13, 2018. Native of Worcester, he had a 20-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was the devoted husband of the late Pauline (McCarthy)(Bergendahl) Grecko and enjoyed traveling with her; he later loved fishing, scooter riding and scratch tickets. Peter leaves a son Mark Grecko (and Sandra) of Florida, stepchildren Edward McCarthy (and Kathy) of Wisconsin, Dennis McCarthy (and Joanne) of Brockton, Cherie Fitzpatrick (and Paul) of Stoughton, Tami Ellis (and Randy) of Sharon, and Sheila Bergendahl of Weymouth; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Saturday, Feb. 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Private committal at Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Honor Flight or Wounded Warriors.
