Norcilia Dorleus, 70, of Brockton, passed away on March 26, 2019 at Beth Israel Hospital. Norcilia was born in Cayes, Haiti on March 2, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Vellon Dorleus and Elicie Senextant. She went to primary school in Cayes, and then she became a seamstress, a profession she loved and enjoyed. After she had her only daughter (Wisdine) in Cayes, she moved to Port-au-Prince in 1971 where she continued to work as a seamstress until she moved to the United States in 2008. While in the United States, she enjoyed fixing some of her daughter’s dresses as well as hers.
She was a woman of faith and a devoted member of Brockton Tabernacle Church since 2008. She enjoyed her visits to the Haitian Adult Day Care Center and loved the people she met there. Norcilia was the beloved mother of Wisdine Docteur and her husband Marcarthur of Brockton. She is survived by her brother Estenel Dorleus, her sister Louise Dorleus of Chile. Nephews and nieces: Frantz Guillaume of Florida, Nadine Damier of New Jersey, and Rosemarie Louis of Florida. Cousin: Pheric Saint Sauveur of Brockton; and special friend Willie Acchat and family of Brockton. The family would like to thank the Meritil family of Brockton, especially Fannie and Mendy Meritil for all their love and support. Norcilia has also left many additional family members and friends.
All are welcome to her funeral service Saturday, April 6th at 10 a.m. in Brockton Tabernacle, 696 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation in the church beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, Randolph.
