Maureen E. (Nestor) Parker, 77, formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully Nov. 20, 2019. Native of Quincy, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (McLean) Nestor. She raised her family in Brockton, and was a compassionate and humble nursing aide in nursing homes and private homes. Maureen loved her family times and enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts, and beach walks. She was always ready to dance and the first one to start. Maureen was the wife of the late Carlton J. Parker; beloved mother of Joseph Parker and his wife Marie of Whitman, James Michael Parker and his wife Hoa of Brockton, Edward Parker of Brockton, Deborah Newman and her husband Donald of Brockton, Maureen Edgerly and her husband Robert of Marshfield and the late Kathleen Deane; a loving grandmother and great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Patricia Purtell, John Nestor and Michael Nestor; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to gather on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. for a 3 p.m. funeral service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, with a reception immediately following at Holiday Inn, Westgate Drive, Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
