Marta Ortiz

Marta Ortiz, 81, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2019. Born in Dorado, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Moises Ortiz and Alejandrina Pascual. Marta was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at St. Patrick Church. She was a great dancer and walked miles daily, keeping active. Marta was the beloved mother of Amparo Molina and her husband Jose, Maritza Avila and her husband Leonel, Miguel Otero, Osvaldo Otero, Angel A. Otero, Damaris Rodriguez and her husband Pablo, Javier Otero and his wife Lina, and the late Norma Iris Otero; and a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother of many. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 6-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Friday at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
