Marlene (Osgood) Whittaker

Marlene (Osgood) Whittaker, 84, of Bridgewater, formerly of Randolph, died peacefully on May 14, 2018. A native of Brockton, she attended Secretarial School after graduating from Brockton High School, and later took classes at Massasoit Community College. Marlene retired from Service Merchandise’s jewelry department after many years there. Her two favorite things in the world were her family and Smuggler's Beach. A member of the Red Hat Society, she enjoyed her Beach Buddies, friends from grade school, and High Pond Estates neighbors. Marlene was the beloved mother of Craig Whittaker and his wife Susan of Plaistow, NH, Pam Maloney and her husband Joe of Whitinsville, Linda Azersky and her husband Cliff of Sharon, and Cindy Najjar and her husband Joe of Pepperell; cherished grandmother of Harry, Sam, Colby, Bryce, Lindsey, Sabrina and Julia; and a sister of Sue Renaud and her husband Chip of Bridgewater, and Elaine Buchanan and her husband Bob of Plymouth. All are welcome to calling hours Sunday, May 20th from 2-4 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private burial.
