Marie Laurette (Alexis) Derolus, 87, of Brockton, passed away peacefully November 11, 2017. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Hermance (Duperlus) Alexis. Deeply devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of Christ the King Parish. She loved time spent with her family and her presence will be sorely missed. Laurette was the widow of Rodolphe Derolus; beloved mother of Carol Derolus Laroche, Yolene Derolus, Vela Derolus, Carine Derolus, Jean-Wosny Derolus, Danie Derolus Lauredent, Myrna Derolus, Marc Eddie Derolus and Marie Sherley Derolus; loving grandmother of Jean Nadro Derolus, Jim Kelly Guiteaud, Jim Railly Guiteaud, Rodney Cardoso, Vernell Laroche, Rachelle Morency, Sophonie Fleuranville, Stephanie Derolus, Jonathan Derolus, Nathan Derolus, Edrick Lauredent, Darren Lauredent, Edwin Lauredent, Mervin Itacy, Mackenley Derolus, Rose Berly Derolus, and Mishelle Bataille; and great-grandmother of Vanessa Derolus, Nadro Derolus Junior, Skaelle Guiteaud, and Kyra Guiteaud. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, November 24th from 6-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral Mass Saturday, November 25th at 9 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
