Marcelino “Tchale” Monteiro, 64, of Brockton, passed away peacefully Dec. 10, 2017. Native of Brava, Cape Verde, he was a retired metal alloy melter and was known as a generous and happy person. Among his extended family, he is survived by 5 children; Aulinda Monteiro of Fall River, Tenina Ramos of New Bedford, Melinda Rabidue Porcaro of Brockton, James Rabidue of Brockton, and Charlie Leach of Brockton; 10 grandchildren; and many brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All are welcome to calling hours Friday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Saturday at 8 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
