Louis N. Costa, 86, of Brockton, passed away peacefully May 11, 2018. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed at Fore River Shipyard/General Dynamics in Quincy then for the Brockton Parking Authority until retirement. Lou loved to dance with Ellie on weekends at Avon Townhouse and Thad’s in New Bedford, and enjoyed playing cards and traveling. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor “Ellie” (Bertocci) Costa for 36 years; and among his extended family he leaves children Mike Costa (and Sandy) of Bridgewater, Denise Diliddo (and Bill) of Bridgewater, Trisha Sergio (and Steve) of West Bridgewater, Nancy Sergio (and Dennis) of Bridgewater, and Paul Spillane (and Hope) of Darien, CT; many grandchildren including Jillian, Jacqueline, Nicole, Courtney, Kristina, Max, Amanda, Nicholas, Sam and Caroline; and several great-grandchildren. Lou’s family thanks everyone at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater for their wonderful care and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Life Care Center Employees Sunshine Fund, 765 West Center St. West Bridgewater MA 02379.
