Lilla M. (Sims) Anderson, 89, of Brockton, formerly of Boston, passed away August 30, 2018. Born in Newnan, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late J.C. and Addie Sims. Lilla had worked at the Dunkin Donuts across the street from Berklee School of Music on Mass Ave. in Boston for 10 years, making many friends along the way. She was an Elder and Deacon of South End Neighborhood Church in Boston and loved reading the Bible. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching game shows. The most important thing to Lilla was her family, and she was deeply devoted to them all. Lilla was the wife of the late Toussaint W. Anderson Sr.; beloved mother of Toussaint W. Anderson Jr. and his wife Barbara Czernik-Anderson of Brockton, and the late Jill Anderson and Flora Jean Dean; loving grandmother of Erica Glenn, Rochelle Atkins, Courtney Rohan, Naviana Duterlien, Toussaint W. Anderson III, and Noah Anderson-Parker; sister of Jimmy Sims and the late Eldora Clark and Victoria Elliott; great-grandmother of 5; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, Sept. 7th from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
