Janet M. (Nader) Kamel, 85, of Avon, formerly of Florida and West Roxbury, passed away Nov. 7, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was a daughter of the late Sam and Mae (Alum) Nader. Retired from hairdressing, she was a member of St. Theresa Maronite Church, was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and bingo.  A faith-filled, caring and giving woman, she was dedicated to her family. Janet was the wife of the late Edward A. Kamel; beloved mother of Sam Kamel of Avon, Michelle Yundt and her husband William of Avon, Edward Kamel and his wife Norma of Texas, Ann Marie Sargent of Norwell and Kathleen Williams of Bridgewater; grandmother of Edward Holden, Christyn Hobbs, James Yundt, Jacqueline Kamel, Joseph Sargent, Andrew Sargent, Jessica Williams and Elizabeth Williams; great-grandmother of Katherine, Landon and Shannon Hobbs and Joshua Yundt; sister of William Nader of Florida and the late Marie Thomas and Ernest Nader; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Friday 4-8 p.m. with an Incense Service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Saturday at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. Service of the Divine Liturgy celebrated in St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church and burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Theresa Maronite Church, 343 North Main St. Brockton MA 02301.
