Janet M. (Fontenot) Gray, 82, of Brockton, passed away on April 11, 2017. Native of Lawtell, LA, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Agnes (Ledoux) Fontenot. She was retired from the telephone company after many years. The glue of her family, she was a strong lady who always helped anyone in need. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and recently, Facebook. Janet was the beloved wife of Ronald P. Gray for 61 years; loving mother of Cindy Gray of Brockton and Diana Gray Balboni (and Paul Germaine) of Wareham; grandmother of Kristen Epstein (and Shawn) of Brockton; great-grandmother of Rachel and Sarah Epstein; sister of the late Marshall Fontenot; she also leaves many relatives in Massachusetts and Louisiana. Following cremation, all are welcome to a calling hour Thursday, April 20th from 10-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and committal at 1 p.m. at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
