Janet L. (Prouty) Davis, 90, of Brockton, formerly of Halifax Mobile Home Estates, Easton, and East Bridgewater, passed away peacefully April 26, 2017. She had worked at Barbour Welt then at Mass. Hospital School as a nurse for many years. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Daniel W. Davis, foster daughter Colleen Murphey and brothers Wilfred, Joseph and Richard Prouty and is survived by sisters Marguerite DeChambeau of Brockton, Marylyn Grenno of East Bridgewater and Rose Farwell of Brockton, a brother John Prouty of AZ, and many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Friday 9-11 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
