James C. Trapp, 74, of Brockton, passed away Dec. 28, 2017.  Born and raised in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Lesley and Elizabeth (O’Connor) Trapp. He later moved to Hull where he met his wife, Rita, whose family lived across the street.  He worked for Winchester Industries and Christmas Tree Shop, both in Avon. Jim was dedicated to his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, playing cards, relaxing with the family dogs, taking trips with his wife and going to the beach. Jim was the beloved husband of Rita (Perakis) Trapp for 49 years; loving father of James K. Trapp (and Lynda) of Franklin, Lisa Craig (and Daniel) of Mattapoisett and Lori Gendreau (and Matthew) of Norton; devoted grandfather of Danielle, Meghan and Erin Craig and Andrew Gendreau; brother of Robert Trapp (and Sandra) of Brockton, William Trapp of Hull and the late John Trapp; and an uncle of several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Sunday (Jan. 7) 2-5 p.m. and 5 p.m. Time of Remembrance in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Private committal.
