James Calvin Sapp, 90, of Brockton, died Oct. 7, 2017. Native of Waynesboro, Georgia, he was a son of the late Mamie and Henry Sapp. He came to Boston and was employed by Cole Hersee before and after his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. James lived in Dorchester before moving to Brockton and there he was an avid bowler, winning many trophies. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed trips to Twin Rivers Casino. James was the husband of the late Eloise (Bryant) Sapp; dear brother of Charlene B. Owens of Brockton and Frances Clemmons of Southfield, Michigan and many late siblings; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews and their families.  All are welcome to a calling hour Friday 10-11 a.m. and his funeral service at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Burial at Melrose Cemetery.
