Frank W. Knudsen Sr., 85, of Brockton since 1992, formerly of Dorchester, died December 11, 2019. Born and raised in Tewksbury, he was the son of the late Frank and Charlotte (Donovan) Knudsen. Frank served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army for 20 years, including the Korean War. He had worked as a sign painter for Ackerley Communications for many years and at Cityside Restaurant at Faneuil Hall and enjoyed doing yardwork. Frank was the husband of the late Mary E. (Plunkett) Knudsen; father of Frank Knudsen Jr. of Conway, NH, Mary Knudsen of Brockton, Diana Delellis of Taunton, Brenda Cavanaugh of Brockton, and the late Edward Knudsen; grandfather of 14 and a great-grandfather of many; brother of Donna Edge, and the late Mary Mulligan, Theresa Groves, Beverly, Dennis, and Florence Knudsen; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. Private family funeral.
