Frank M. Estrella, 92, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2018. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Miranda) Estrella. He traveled the world as a Merchant Marine and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Frank worked at the Quincy Shipyard for many years and later retired from the V.A. Hospital Warehouse in Brockton. A devout Catholic, he was a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Mashpee. He was member of the VFW Post 5489 Mashpee and the Capers Club. Frank was the beloved husband of Miriam (Harris) Estrella; loving stepfather of Richard Caines, Christine Caines, and Susan Bulgar; devoted grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather of many; uncle of Ronald Estrella and Dana Tavares and families; brother of the late Mary, Lottie, and Edward; and a dear friend of Jim and Lynn Cochrane, and Earline and Edward Briggs. All are welcome to gather at the First Church of the Nazarene, 89 N. Pearl St., Brockton on Thurs., Nov. 1st for calling hours from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. service in the church. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
