Eudovia Alvarez, 86, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Christian Alvarez and Leonie Nerette. She was the wife of the late Edgard Laborde. Eudovia was devoted to her faith and loved going to church. The life of the party, she enjoyed dancing and cooking for her family. Eudovia was the beloved mother of Joseph Alvarez of Brockton, Andrée Lucien of Brockton, Victoria Lallemand of Queens, New York, Carline Moss of France, Edmond Pierre Alvarez of Haiti, and the late Aly Alvarez; dear grandmother of 12; and a great-grandmother of 1. Eudovia was predeceased by her siblings and leaves many extended family and friends. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday, January 20th from 8-10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery.
