Dominique Jean, 98, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2019. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, he was the son of the late Alonzo Jean and Lormina Camille. Dominique was a talented shoemaker in Haiti for many years until retiring. He immigrated to the U.S. in 2001 and in 2010 proudly became a U.S. citizen. A member of Church of Christ, he loved to pray and was devoted to his faith. He was a simple man and enjoyed watching soccer. Dominique was the husband of the late Marie F. Amilcar Jean; beloved father of Hermonde Jean, Edwidge Jean and his wife Micheline, Charlemagne Jean, Yves Jean, Claudette Jean, Kettly Auguste and Yvon Amilcar; loving grandfather of Don Jonathan E. Jean, Isaac Jean, Katty Jean, Miranda Jean, Edwidge Jean III, Yvenaelle Jean, Theresa Jean, Mardoche Jean, Jacques Matellus, Sophia Amilcar and Ruthlande Amilcar; Dominique also leaves many dear extended family and friends. All are welcome to his funeral service on Saturday, February 9th at 9 a.m. in Church of Christ, 330 Edge Hill Rd., Milton, with viewing in the church beginning at 8 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
