Dieudonne Thevenin, 99, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2019. Born May 29, 1920 in Brasilienne, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Philemon Thevenin and Rachel Jean Pierre. Dieudonne was the beloved mother of Leonce G. Jameau of Massachusetts, Marie Benita Sauvignon of Florida, Charles Thevnin of California, and the late Pierre Jameau, Chrispino Jameau, Junite Jameau, and Patrick Jameau; loving “Mommy Donne” of Leon, Greg, Carline, Carla, Carine, Thatiana, Wilemsky, Gregory, Sandra, Miguerline, Bianca and Brittany; great-grandmother of Arienne, Tyler, Lillian, Akil, Roberline, Jeremiah, Nevayah, Gabriel, Kiara and Jaelynn; sister of Laroche Thevenin and Aristomise Thevenin of Haiti, and the late Isabel, Gabriel, Oscar and Oriana; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dieudonne was dedicated to her family, and taught them the meaning of love and strength. She was an herbalist and holistic healer and shared her vast knowledge with her children and grandchildren. Dieudonne was tenacious and lived her life fully. Her rich spirit will be missed and she will be forever loved. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, July 19th from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Reception to follow at Chateau Restaurant, 1165 Park St. Stoughton.
