Deborah A. (Peart) Zaks, 71, of Brockton, passed away May 24, 2018. A graduate of St. Patrick High School in South Boston, she had resided also in Weymouth and Dorchester. She was a bookkeeper at area businesses and an active parishioner and volunteer for St. Edward School Bingo and Cub Scouts. Deborah also enjoyed traveling to Ireland and Las Vegas. She was dedicated to her family and home; and was the wife of the late Robert E. Zaks; beloved mother of Christopher Zaks and Kimberly Zaks, both of Brockton, and Jeffrey Zaks and his longtime companion Niina Wirgentius of Merrimac; sister of the late Eileen Peart; she had a large extended family here and in Ireland that loved her. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, her funeral Thursday at 8 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church and burial at Melrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
