Datira Michel (Louis) Idal, 98, of Brockton, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on December 23, 2017. Born in Jérémie, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Eromasse Derosieur and Zilanma Louis. She was deeply devoted to her faith and loved going to church. Datira was the wife of the late Michel Idal; beloved mother of Edleine Idal, Marie N. Michel, Adrienne Leon, Yanick Idal, all of Brockton, and 7 others in Haiti; sister of Sultanie Derosier of Staten Island, New York; and a dear grandmother and aunt of many. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, January 5th from 5-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home, Saturday, January 6th at 8 a.m., funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Christ the King Parish. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery.
