Chris Pastena Obituary

Chris A. Pastena, 55, of Brockton, passed away on October 18, 2018. Born in Somerville, he was the beloved son of Sally F. (Lynch) Doyon of Brockton. Chris was a graduate of Brockton High School and was a retired Correctional Officer from The Massachusetts Department of Correction, at Southeastern Correctional Center in Bridgewater. He enjoyed spending his free time reading, learning about history, religion and enjoyed watching movies, but was most happy when he was with his family. Chris never missed an opportunity to let his family know how much he loved them. His children and grandchildren were his world. Chris was the loving father of Krista and her husband John Morselli of Berkley, Courtney and Patrick O’Brien of East Bridgewater, and Christopher Pastena of Brockton; dear grandfather of Chase Anthony Morselli, Braelynn Julia O’Brien, Amelia Grace Morselli, and Declan Patrick O’Brien; brother of Margaret Reed of Brockton, Michael Pastena of Brockton, Catherine Belanger of Brockton, Rose Depril of Taunton, and the late Bonnie MacIntosh; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday, October 24th from 5-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Thursday, October 25th at 8 a.m., funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
