Beverly C. (Tillman) Beckers

Beverly C. (Tillman) Beckers, 67, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2018. Born in Smyrna, Tennessee to the late Ben Tillman and Lucy I. (Gregory) Heggie, she was raised and educated in Boston. Beverly was a phone company retiree, and later worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield until retiring from there as well. An avid reader, she enjoyed traveling and was devoted to her grandchildren. Beverly was the beloved mother of Lanell Beckers, and Anitra Reynolds and her husband Trevor, all of Brockton; loving grandmother of Kaija Chalmus and Miles Reynolds; sister of Vernice “Cherry” Collins and her husband David, Julian “Phil” Heggie, Daphne Negron, Victor Heggie, Vincent Heggie, Tina Adams, and Troy Heggie; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday, May 26th from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, followed by a 12 noon service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private committal.
