Barbara M. (Andrews) Qualter

Barbara M. (Andrews) Qualter, 82, of Avon, native of North Quincy, passed away June 28, 2018. Barbara was the beloved wife of Joseph T. Qualter Jr. for 57 years; loving mother of Gary Qualter of Avon, Dianne Clinton and her husband Charles of Avon, Michele Quagge and her husband Peter of Bridgewater, David Qualter and his wife Marisa of Marshfield, Kristine Mahoney and her husband William of Norton and Kelly Benoit and her husband Peter of Acushnet; dear grandmother of Crystal, Jessica, Brandon, Heather; Timothy, Jessica, Jillian; (the late Austen), Camden, Faren; Jacob, Leigh; Amanda, Meghan, Brendan; Nathan, McKenna; great-grandmother of Darrian, William, Payton; sister of the late Paul and Joseph Andrews; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael Church since 1962, working many years supporting their Christmas Bazaar and other church activities. She was a bookkeeper at Howard Johnson’s then raised her family. All are welcome to calling hours Monday, July 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, her funeral Tuesday, July 3 at 9 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church and burial at St. Michael Cemetery, both in Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Bereavement Program, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115 in memory of Austen Quagge.
